Do you know of any place that would give me a loan of $6,000 without killing me on interest. I really don't want to ask my family for the money but I have no credit at all. Any ideas or suggestions?

I spent 20 years in the Navy driving crap cars before I got the Bullitts. At your age, enjoy what you have and don't put yourself in debt.

Just my 2 cents

Lots of good advice here. Take it from the guys who have been there. If you invest money properly you wont have any debt and you wont need credit. Cash always works!!!!!!

I'm in your young boat, except I'm not in the Navy :p ! But I'm trying to find a job! Hopfully the position I was going to apply for at the school district is still open :D

Dude, be patient. You don't need to start going into debt now. Too young, plenty of time later (i.e. mortgage). If you find some place that will give you a loan now, RUN! They will charge you interest you will owe them your first born.
Seriously, I think I know what you want the loan for, but its not worth it. You miss this one, there will be more in the future. Just wait. You won't regret it.

YOUR NOT LISTENING...be patient and wait until you have the cash. Cars are not a good investment. They loose their value...most of the time...and older mustangs need constant cash flow!!!!!
