first let me say im new around here. im a permanent member of socal stangs, and a few of the members recomended me post here. i own a 1998 cobra. ive met a few of yall a couple of weeks ago while i was installing gears in my cobra, at mcas miramar. thats where im stationed at so obviously thats where i do most of my work. alright so now to the point. i have recently bought a forged shortblock from a friend of mine, emerson, (roorstiles), the owner of last call racing. me and him are assembling it here before long and bolting up a p1sc procharger. today/ yesterday me and another friend pulled the motor in preporation for the new motor. this was my first pool and i learned a lot, but obviously not all that i could have. the way that we pulled it was remove the drive shaft and pulled the tranny, motor, and k member through the bottom. so im looking for advise on the install. and if possible a helping hand when it comes time for it here in about two- three weeks. i dont know if pulling a motor from the bottom like that is the best way to do it or if its better to do it from the top. should i reinstall the tranny and motor seperately or together? any advise or help would be greatly appreciated!
