that was the old block, hense why i had to build in the first place. I found out after i built a block that the factory replaced the #7 piston three times under warrenty. Thats the one that blew. Found that out in the car fax report that I done on the car. I i knew, maybe i would've got a motor under warrenty. But I tend to learn things the hard way.

Hello, I am trying to find a short block for my 96 GT, what do you reccomend, i found a 4.6/5.1 stroker from Coast High Performance but im not sure where my HP rating will be i plan on putting some performance heads maybe Trick flow and put in Comp Cam cams, then do the intake and 75 MM throttle body, BBK headers and underdrive pulleys. What power can I get from the engine? I seen your engine build and i need some help I would appreciate any information.

i think ears just bought a short block. I pieced all mine together, and bought all my parts individually. It was a great learning experience. If i have to do it all over again, I'd buy a short block then add on parts. Comp stage 2 cams are good. Make sure you stick with .550 lift. Go with P.I. heads and intake. BBK makes a cool plenum and throttle body in one piece. Slap you a jtl cold air. And youll be over 300 all motor. And it'll hold if you plan on a power adder.

For Throttle Body, I recommend AccuFab. I just put in a 70mm T-body/Plenum combo and noticed the difference right away. Very NICE!!!!!

let snowman03gt chime in. He just put the bbk on an loved it. Accufab is good put pricey. Iff you want to save some money and get close to the same power...BBK. Accufabs do put down good power though.
