My first and almost last drag race

Here's a link to my first race where I spun out and almost hit the wall. Kids don't try this with your dads mustang [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agnsuIhTvLg"]YouTube - WickedStangs[/ame]

Nice save, Red! I was on the staging lane getting ready to go. The track official came right up to us and told us, if that happened to us, let off because it was over.

nice save.. you should always run with T/C off. If your tires break loose with it on it trys to control wheel spin by appying pressure to back brakes

I would leave it on until you have some more passes under your belt. That's what I'm doing. The more I read in forums about newbies like me just starting out, it's a good safety measure to leave it on until you're proficient. After that, do what Phil says!

Me, I don't think I'm anywhere near proficient yet, so I'm playing it safe.

I'd rather lose and DRIVE my car home than have PapaTom TOW it back in pieces.

It didnt look that bad on video. I did that in mine the first time at Barona too and it straightened right out after I left off the gas.
