so i got the car dynoed again the other day, both on dynomites tune and on rets tune, 370 on rets with 388ftlbs and dynomites i checked for kicks and it was leaner with 380 and 388ftlbs. its just not enough power. im buying a bigger fuel pump anda smaller pulley. i know the threshold is around 430rwhp, anyone have any experience with what i need to worry about boostwise? ive got a 10lb pulley if that does make 410-415 im putting on a 12lb. theres no reason i shouldnt be driving around with anything less than 400rwhp.lol.

well, i think you should make yourself be happy with what you got and deal with the family situation you were talking about.

Just out of curiosity, with a smaller pulley do you have to put on a shorter belt or does it not make that much of a difference? Does the tension pulley take care of it?

i will be ok going from 9 to 10 with the same belt. the belt barely makes it over the 9 so its got some room. thanks for the concern bj. its been handled.

I might invest in a BAP. The SVT Focus pump, the 255 lph and even the Ford GT pump will hit 100% duty cycle around 390-395 rear wheel. You can turn the pressure down a bit, to get the duty cycle back down. Most performance shops in the area, will let them get around 400-410 with about 390 torque, before they get a bit nervous. Best I have ever seen was 437 x 445 when the rods came out.
