Final numbers
387HP / 363TQ

Well the final numbers may not impress, but the dyno is just a tuning device. Lets wait for the track times. :)

Anyway this will put things into perspective a little bit here. This is how they broke it down on sbftech.com

#1 BEFORE / #2 AFTER

#1:
- Over 300 ft-lbs for ~1,400 rpm's
- Torque window above 300 ft-lbs of ~32 ft-lbs.
- Approximately 65% of the graph above 300 ft-lbs. (4,000 - 6000 RPM window)
- HP peak is below TQ peak

#2:
- Over 300 ft-lbs for 2,000 rpm's
- Torque window above 300 ft-lbs of ~65 ft-lbs.
- 100% of the graph above 300 ft-lbs. (4,400 - 6,400 RPM window)
- HP peak is above TQ peak

Awesome numbers. I cant wait to hear what your new times will be. How hard was it to get it tuned right? Is this right around what you was expecting/hoping?

As much as I say that the numbers don't matter, I was still expecting over 400RWHP / RWTQ, but the problem is the stall converters make numbers look lower. As far as tuning goes, it took him a while to get the car to idle with the 42lbers, but after that it was pretty smooth from there out.

I thought you was going with the 36 lb ones?

He said that according to his calculations that I would be running them to the edge, so we left them in just to drive it off the trailor and swapped them out on the dyno. It took about 10min. and he wasn't even there when I swapped them out. We waited for an hour before he even got started. Then his tax guy showed up in the middle of the tune and he disappeared for another hour!

I think we caught him at a bad time. We were a little ticked an hungry! Overall I think the guy is a pretty damn good tuner. My car ended up with 39* of total timing.

runs good n sounds good. you are making more power and for much longer too.

on a side note, i say a 3 " exhaust, a little less octane would probably net you the 400rwhp and more tq. not an expert or educated opinion though, just a wild guess.

however as of now 387rwhp from an auto to a manual should be around 450whp and a lot more torque than what the above grapch states.

lets see what she does at the track though.....

Talked to Jay Allen. He said that the converter is miles too tight! He is recommending a 4200rpm stall. Mine may stall @ 3000rpm. Next he recommended the 101 unleaded. sbftech.com is strongly against mixing fuels. Who am I to argue with them? A 3" could be better, but 2 1/2" is supposedly good to 600hp. I would go 3" when the N20 comes into the picture.

For now, I'm going to try and have some fun.
