I called to get quotes and ended up with their Voice Mail. I'll try again tomorrow. I'm guessing this late in the day their sales staff probably called it quits.
It retails for $350 so I imagine there would be a substantial discount through me. And you have to have an SCT Flash device in addition to it, but it would be worth it for guys like you who want to learn HOW to tune.
I understand you are looking into learning how to tune through SCT. They are a good company with lots more help than other tuning software companies. The price is astronomical compared to what people expect to pay though. For example, want to take a 1 day class on how to tune, bam.....$800+
Want their dealer software (which is hard to get) $2,500 + a minimum of like $1,800 in devices. I think getting setup with them cost me $5,300. Luckily I had the needed experience to know how to tune, otherwise I'd be flying to Florida to take their classes. You could literally call up and say "I have the $5,300 for the software and package and want to buy it", and they take a moment to look up your geographic area and respond "Nope, can't sell it to you. Too many shops in your area already have it."
I know what you are talking about... Good thing I am in with Greg at calibrated success and will be attending his classes.. I know some of the crew at SCT.. they been real helpful..

I got into tuning the long way. I spent years dyno tuning cars and street tuning them. Books don't teach you enough, and classes help, but like all skills experience is the best knowledge. You can't really resolve issues until you have seen them.
I've tuned 550-600 cars over the past few years. There is a steep learning curve, but once you get rolling it's hard to stop.

Alright, finally got a hold of them. They said that minimum retail is $349, which is also the MSRP listed on their site.
