Questions and stock midpipe needed

New to Cali and her rules guys so I have a few questions about this smog test thingy. How sensitive are the readings and will a Bassani high flow catted midpipe pass? The Mach1 I just bought has an offroad which I cant stand to begin with but I need the car on the road ASAP. Anyone have a stocker I can borrow/buy? I'm registered or will be in South Carolina so do I still have to have passed emissions? Thanks in advance guys.-Shane

you registered out of state right? if you have sc plates i wouldnt even worry about it. dont register your car here in cali unless you have to.

I believe some of the active military here mentioned before you can register your car on base if you are not from California. Highly recommend that. Cali have, in my opinion, the strictest emission law in the country. So your o/r most likely won't pass. But get it register on base if you're from SC

Thanks guys, working the issues now that I am in port and recieved the title and bill of sale in the mail. Already paid the taxes on the car and need to work on the tags now. Want "MACHWON" for the tag so I hope no one else in SC has it. Thanks again.-Shane

i dont think you can register it on base with out a smog test. even if it is registered in another state. my stocker should fit, its pretty much the same motor w/ the exception of being made out of different materials. we can trade for a while then back once you get the smog done. unless you decide to keep it.

yea i can vouch for that i had to smog my wifes brand new focus not two months off the lot before theyd let me drive it on base, at that point we had just comme from ohio. however if the dealership you bought it from had smoged it before the sale then you can just use tht, but i dont knw if they even smog in sc!!!???
