SCT tuner issues ( knocking )

So i finally got my SF3 unlocked which is 49 bucks at JBA in case any of you wanted to know and it takes approx 15 min from the time you arrive untill you have the tuner back in your hands.

On with my issues. The SCT Tuner comes with a 87 91 and premium tune out of the can. supposedly Dyno proven. In my case if they had used a dyno they blew the damn engine unless they used the 87 tune.

So first things first i wanted to play with the tuner so install the premium tune AS IS. start car every thing is fine. get to a light about to get on the highway and over 20 or so % throttle myengines knocking like hell. i let off and drive home at less that 20 throttle. get home and turn car to stock. did some reading.

tried the 91 tune at +6% fuel and -6 -4 and -4 timing ( 3 ranges ). same **** slightly less knock.

gave up on that after a few tries of different settigns of less and less timing and more fuel.

installed the 87 tune. car runs no knock. i am unable to add even 1 degree of timing or decrease fuel below 0%

so... What the hell am i doing wrong.

Both the last two were tried with EGR and rear o2 sensors off.

any suggestions would be Greatly appreciated.

thats what i figured. i wish i had just a base stock tune. that way i could play with that.

i have the stock tune pulled off the tuner but its parted in two files and needs to be converted but i do not have the software to do that. so if any of you have a stock tune for a 98 GT ll3 file that would be fantastic. i do dislike the limited ability of the tuning from the sf3. i mean hell SFAC piggy backs have more capability than these things.

do you have a stock tune? or the ability to convert the two files the tuner makes from a stock tune?
