Soldier in Iraq

HisPony

Wondering where I am!?!?
I know a Soldier that just arrived in Iraq for his second tour.

I know this guy and his wife from my Offroading days.

If you would like to send something to him or his squad, please PM me and I will give you the name and address.

Muscle Car magazines are a big hit over there, no matter how old they are.

For those of you that are not familiar with how packages work, the receipent takes some stuff out of the package and leaves the rest on a table for others to grab. Not everyone get's stuff every mail call so this is what we do.

Just a FYI

On an 8 month deployment myself to the middle east. Alot of the guys here are getting letters, card, care packages from www.soldiersangels.com. Just go to the site and type in their name and addy and they will assign a sponsor to that person. It really helps keep the guys spirits up and it only takes about 5 minutes to register someone. Some of those guys dont know if today they will or tomorrow and just praying to get back alive so care packages, letters thanks go alot more than people think. -Shane

Thanks, HisPony,I will PM you for the info.

I know when I was deployed, I appreciated every little things I got for a care package. The smallest thing meant a lot to me and the guys in my platoon. I still remember a package I got from an elementary school. Those homemade cards were the best.

Yep, beef jerky is a hit and so is Kool Aid in the plastic containers.

If you send candy, send hard candy!! Anything else melts.
