Southern California Car Club Council February Meeting Minutes

Here is the minutes from the month's council meeting. If anyone is interested in coming to a future council meeting, please let me know. All are welcome to attend.

February 11, 2014 General Meeting Minutes

On February 11, 2014 at 7:00 pm the general meeting of the Southern California Car Club Council (SCCCC) was called to order by the President of the Board, Geoff Ferber.
Pledge of AllegianceThe Pledge of Allegiance this month was led by Paul “Kip” Dunn. (The Over the Hill Gang.)
InvocationInvocation and Remembrance was given by the SCCCC Spiritual Leader and Secretary, Lannie Finan.
501 update …(Geoff Ferber)Geoff Ferber brought us up to date on the 501c3 status. Our application has been completed and is now filed with the IRS for processing.
SCCCC Dues A reminder… All membership dues are now due. Membership will remain at $50.00 for 2014 and individual invoices will be distributed via internet to those who have not paid by the end of the February.
Legislative …(Steve Licata) SAt this time there isn’t anything to report.

New Business:
Approval or corrections of this past months minutes of our General
Meeting… Motion to approve this past month’s minutes of the
General meeting was given by Chuck Davenport . Seconding of
the motion came from Paul Dunn and the, “Motion Passed.”
Treasurer's monthly report… (Doug Jones) Our latest Event
Liability Insurance premium has been paid to American Modern
Insurance Company. We are currently collecting dues from our
Membership for 2014.
Banners… Currently Doug Jones, Geoff Ferber and PA Davis
have the SCCCC banners. Anyone wishing to check out a
banner for attending an event this coming month, Please check
with our secretary to sign a banner out for an event.
Open Floor: All speakers are allotted up to two minutes time.
Website:Any events, (cruises, breakfasts, lunches, picnics, etc.) that you’d like posted on the SCCCC website please E-mail them electronically for posting to our SCCCC website.
Insurance Riders & flyers:Any membership club requiring a third party insurance rider must contact the SCCCC president with all the pertinent information required. You will also need a $65.00 check for processing the rider. We also require that all flyers have the SCCCC logo on all flyers for events as it is required by AMI.
Possible up-coming event:The Jaguar Club is currently working on an event that will be held at the San Diego Auto Museum and Pete Picksay asked if anyone had any information regarding a possible merger of the Aero Space Museum and the Auto Museum? It was also mentions how much better the Auto Museum was since Paula Brandes took it over.

Adjournment:-Vince Jacket motioned for the meeting to be adjourned at 7:52 pm. Danny Pan seconded the motion and the motion was passed.
The next General Meeting of the SCCCC: Scheduled for Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Nicolosi’s Italian Restaurant in El Cajon. Come early for dinner and socializing as the meeting begins promptly at 7:00 pm.

February’s SCCCC General Meeting minutes were recorded by our secretary Lannie Finan who has just returned from her Virginia trip with family and friends. I would like to again thank Kathy Marx of the Pacific Tide Cruisers for all her help and support in scribing all of our minutes in these past couple of months in Lannie’s absence.
