the standard kit is 6psi,the h.o kit is 8 to 10 depending on mods and rpm level.this one starst at 10 and falls alittle, thats normal on a blower of this type.i actually backed his tune down alittle,as i feel the safe limit on a stock 3v motor is 450whp,and well i was well over that.

a former worker from whipple me and chris (04 cobra) talked to said whipples are fine on stock gt's up to 14lbs. i wouldn't try it though.

though i also think joe should get his gt dyno tuned, that way he has a tune specifically for his car.

if only whipple made something for the machs... oh well... there's always kenne bell, hellion, procharger...

and yeah, we have to find out who the guy was. someone from our chapter referred him... if you referred him, don't be bashful, speak up. you gave nate some business and made our chapter look good to a shop.

positive all the way around. :)

they do,but you have to convert to 03 cobra drive and timing cover.

i made 480whp and 430 tq on a very safe 10 to 8.5 to 9 psi tapering off at 6500 rpm tune.It was there kit out of the box on a butt stock 07 gt with my tune.

true... but i think the others you don't have to get terminator parts, right? it's only the whipple which requires the drive and timing cover?

on the s197 the whipple is by far the best kit imo,its so complete and makes killer power.

the vortec is also nice, the h.o kit with the aftercooler,i was going to do one of those on my 07 but decided to keep the nx plate kit on it.mine makes 430s on a 100 shot on pump piss.

the vortec.

there kits are great for street cars,no belt issues like found on pro chargers, and they have been around for years, there kits are very well put together,.

what do you mean by the kenne bells leak.. intake leak or oil leaks? I have seen them used with good results.. and have heard of these leaks but wasnt sure what was ment by it..

ive had mine a year and it doesnt leak. they are great blowers, from what ive seen the advantage is changine pulleys and stuff. the kb pulleys are like 15 bucks but i think whipples are pretty pricey. i will say this, kb customer service is AWFUL.

they get alot of oil build up in the inlet housing.they sometimes leak from the drive hub aswell. And they are too freakn loud, god if i wanted that i would leave a eaton on it and spray it lol.the whipples are nice and quiet.

lol, some people love it,i hated the noice on my cobra when it was eaton powered,so i put a 2.3 whipple on it and was very happy, then did full built motor and a 3.4 crusher and even more happy.

850whp worth of happy at 7000 rpm.

yea i like the noise too.. can the oil build up you speak of can be fixed with a oil separator? of course not the hub leak but maybe the intake oil issue?
