The way home from work! BLACK WRX Accident

Ok guys here is the Story! I was coming home from work on way to school to pick up kids. I was minding my own business going 15 norht as this guy in a WRX pulls along side of me. He was jumping on me, hitting the blow off vlv, and honking his horn. (should have had a sign hey lets race) I looked over shook my head no due to traffic and I was already going 75MPH I dont like highway racing anyway. There is no point to it in my opinion and its dangerous, but hey pull up to a light doing that crap and it on LOL. So this guy contiues and I cut to the far lane to get away from him and contiue at 75. There was this chick in a scion or soemthing between us (hot looking blonde) and I just looked over and thought what the hell give up man he is on side of her. He drops back and gets on my ass and I am thinking bud I hope you have insurance cause your turbo is about to make love to my bottle... I speed up to about 80mph and this guy goes to get on passenger side of me and totaly cuts this chick off and she locks them up and goes into a spin. ( this is in lunch hour traffic) I seen th whole thing in my mirror.. I was like oh **** and sped up so she wouldnt hit me or even worse one of the other cars try to avoid her and hit me. So I see her spin from the lane next to ast all the way across the highway as everyone locking up there breaks. I was like oh my god she is going to get broad sided and die... She finaly spun all the way to shoulder where she stopped! I wanted to pull off and see if she was ok but I had to go get kids and already running late. This A^^hole in inport just whipped off the hihway at next exit as fast as he could. I wish I would have got his plate number. I am going to watch for him though he is somewhere on coronado. he followed me across bridge and cut 4 lanes of traffic going onto 5 south. Just thought I share.. I am going to post on C/L and see if she responds.. its been nagging at me all day that I didnt pull over to see if she was ok.

but i dont agree with your stop light theory lol they are equally dangerous imagine if a car pulled on while you took off from a light in WOT hittign 40 still spraying or other ppl in boost

Hey BlackStallion,

Let me make try to make a long story short. Back in the day growing up in Detroit I owned a '70 Dodge Challenger with a 340. Like any other kid in the "Motor" I got the bug for more horsepower. The stock 340 wasn't enough for me. I begged a close friend of mine to sell me his motor a 383 bored .60 over, dual quad, tunnel ram, solid lifter cam,ported heads, balanced and blue-printed. I'm sure this motor was making well over 500HP....back in the day. My friend would not sell me that motor....I begged him but he would not sell it. I even told him to name his price....no luck. I ended up having a motor built from the ground up and spent a lot more money and it was a small block at that. About a year later my friend called me and told me that he had sold his motor to another guy who in turn sold it to someone else. On a Friday night a guy named Shaun had that motor in a '71 Cuda and was racing a '68 Camaro....I'm a little on the older side. While racing down a city street a car pulled out from a side street about 1/2 way down the quarter causing the Cuda to swerve. The Cuda had slicks and loss control hitting a parked produce truck. Shaun was killed instantly and another friend of mine who witnessed the race gave Shaun CPR but it was too late, the impact crushed his vital organs. That Saturday morning myself and my friend Marty that would not sell me that motor went down the the Detroit Police impound lot to see the Cuda. The driver side of the Cuda was now the passenger side. I can't tell you how upset that made me all I could think was that could have been me. To top that all off Shaun's best friend was also at the impound lot and crying like I had never seen a grown man cry...his best friend was dead from drag racing. Shaun's mother wanted every car part that Shaun owned out of her house. Her only son was dead from street drag racing.

BlackStallion, to this day I thank my friend Marty for not selling me that 383 .60 over motor. I thought street racing was cool until I saw the tragic results first hand. IT'S NOT WORTH IT! Take it to the track the hell with some WRX, NOS will not save your butt. Just think if you had up ran that WRX and lost control and hit someone causing injury or death. Can you say...inmate #S197-3-valve. If this sounds like I'm preaching.....I am. If it sounds like I care....I do. Take it to the track...my brother.
That incident scared the crap out of me and it's the God honest truth I haven't street
raced since then and that was in the early '80s.

I feel you bro.. I felt like crap for not pulling over to see if she was alright but was running late to get kids from school.. I was actually joking about racing the guy from light. Pissed me off though having him riding my ass. I thought o-well if he hits me he hits my I got insurerace. I am not taking bait from inport on highway. It would have to be under certain circumstance I guess . If It was late and no cars ect maybe but in middle of day no way I like racing and If things are safe back road ect I will go on street. I prefer the track even though they are ****ty out here. I am not even going to race at qualcom tommorow. My next race will be at FFW. Today was first time I drove my car all week to work. Was kinda nice saving gas and then jumping in the stang to CRUISE to work

I don't know you, but it always seems like you are in the middle of some street race or something. I'm not gonna lie and say that I've never done it, but once I had kids everything changed (I grew Up). Nowadays my favorite thing to do when I get some punk trying to race is to look over and pat my mouth like I'm yawning and just keep cruising. They usually laugh or get pissed, but either way after that jesture they leave me alone because they know I'm not gonna race because they aren't worth the risk. Give that a try it's fun.

Totally agree with you Stage2, we've all done it, and we've all known of people getting hurt screwing around. My father always tells me, "People always say it will happen to the Other Guy, but to the everyones else you are the Other Guy". No lie I used to answer every import that came knocking, but since the little one is on the way I have matured VERY much, it's not worth it to me anymore. Just tonight on the way to the mall a ricer caught up to us from behind, got all the way on my a** then got over and slowed down so we were lined up, as much as I wanted to just leave him in the dust I resisted. Traffic eventually got backed up further down the road and I gave him nice bark from the pipes but that was it, believe it or not he didn't mess with me anymore after that.

Guys the point of the story was what had happen to the inocent girl by theis guy driving like a A$$ then when it came time for him to face the facts he merged and ran off. IF I ever did something like that I would def stop my god. I stop for stranded women on side of highway as much as possible. Flat tire ECT. there is nothing worse then being on seide of the road broke down and have everyone drive pass. You might as well just slow down honk and give me the finger.. LOL

its ok phil i understand what your saying and the point of this thread. good on you bro for being the better person. its perfectly understandable that you had to get to your kids otherwise you would have stopped stop letting it get to you bro. im that other guy and i know i need to mature. but ricky bobby realyl does sum it up i wannt go fast.
