hello everyone, newbe here

some might know me from modularfords....i have been the mach 1 section moderator for over 6 years there along with owning my own race shop, race team and forum.

race shop: SpeedofSound Motorsports
race team: Evilution Racing.....i betting you all know this name after this past weekend!!
forum: www.sosmotorports.com

registered mostly to say hey whats up, but also to find out WTF happened this weekend at Barona with my brotha?? you know, the one with the 69 Camaro??
i'm not here to start crap, i am here to straighten this out....so lets all be mature and figure this crap out.....we are supposed to be racers, not hot headed immature ricers!!!

anyways....
i own a 03 Mach 1
not alot done and definately is not fast.....but it is a daily driver, street car.....a real street car that you can see in traffic on the hottest or coldest day in any weather. my best so far is a sorry a$$ 11.015@122. i am one of probably the last of maybe 100 or so Machs still on the stock short block....LOLOLOLOLOL

a little about me....
we are military. have been for the past 15+ years. my wife is the active duty one, Navy. after 15+ years of enlisted service she is currently going to school for her masters in health care admin for the navy while still active and she graduates in one year. then we will move from enlisted E6 to O2.
i am a 20+ year certified ASE, GM and Ford master tech. after 25+ years of doing this, i am going back to school for computer information systems. since being a sct and sniper tuner and dealer i have spent more time tuning with a laptop than i have wrenching so that is my reason for taking computer programming. plus i needed a change from wrenching....LOLOLOLOLOLOL
we currently live in misery..ooppss, i mean missouri. i do not like it here. rude, disrespectful, wish they knew it all people around here. granted i have not gotten into the car scene much cause after a photo shoot for a calender and a couple hang outs i have come to the conclusion that know one in MO is like me. beer drinking, *** smoking, gear head!! LOL

guess thats about it for now.
good talking to ya'all
Rob

Did you mean at the 4th of July show at the base this Saturday?

There was no issue with your brother. We were cool and talking. But for whatever reason after the show, he came over by our cars and started doing burnout on the asphalt parking lot. Well, as he was doing that, chunk of asphalt started spraying all over the place and some hit the cars. One of our members went over just to tell him that wasn't cool and your brother I guess got upset he was confronted about it. Base Police saw what had happened (burnout) and went over there and told your brother that is not acceptable and any problems from him and he would be escorted out.

That was what happened on Saturday.

If that was not your brother, sorry. Didn't know there was racing out in Barona this past weekend.

right on

i think he said someone from wickedstangs that he met asked him to do a burnout, so like the rest of us, he was like "hell yeah". not sure of his choice of spot, he admitted that afterwards it probably wasn't the smartest area to do it in. i just wanted to make sure there were no hard feelings. the world we live in is very small, and for military peeps, its even smaller...LOLOL....know what i'm saying.
i'm not here to apologize for him or to say anyones right or wrong. i just wanted to know what happened. thats all. i know some of you from modfords and i just wanted to touch base and find out what was up. plus i wanted to check your guys site out :hello: LOLOLOLOL

we ALL have been accused of doing dumb sh!t from time to time. and no matter how much of a lesson we learned last time, sometimes its still fun to try it again.

just remember, what you guys saw from your point of view, coming over doing a burnout by your cars for no reason, could have also have been someone from your hangout asking him to burnout and he oblidged by giving them front row seats. know what i'm saying? not justifying at all, but just telling the other side or point of view.

also, from what i heard, it wasn't just a cool calm and collected "hey man that wasn't cool"....
i was told.....
someone made the comment " so you think your some kinda tuff guy?"

i think that comment would have sent anyone of us off.....right??!!

i know i would have been up in someones face had they said that to me!!

know what i'm sayin

well, since you all seem to have a life, LOL, cause i'm posting to myself...LOL...i will say that it was not a smart move, for sure. i just wanna make sure that this weekend when you all show up at the track, everyone gives each other the benefit of the doubt and gets along. thats all. i'm not trying to piss anyone off or start anymore crap.

so on a side note....
what do you guys normally run at the track?
i see you have a variety of cars.....what do the Mach peeps run that are members here?
are you guys made up of all street cars or street and drag?

many peeps from Missouri?....who are gear heads...LOL

first of all, welcome. :)

and going by your trap speed, i'm guessing 1/4. that's pretty good for a 1/4 time. i'm trying to get into the low 13's with my mach.

right on....13's are very respectable!! very HOTT looking make from your sig pic.
mine looks stock cept for a powder coated shaker and running horse matte black vinyl badges on my door handles that amazingly i put on when i bought the car new in 03 and they been there in mint condition ever since. cause i can't find em again if i had to replace them, and they actually look factory.

yes my time is 1/4 mile. it has taken alot of work to get low 11's....and keep it a good gas mileage daily driver anyways....LOL

thanks. yours is 5 speed, right? i'm one of the rare automatic machs out on the road. but your goal is the same as mine. make it as fast as possible, while keeping it a daily. what have you got done, if you don't mind me asking?

me? full exhaust minus headers. only perf. mods are:

jlt ram air intake
mac catted prochamber
slp loudmouth II catback
sct tune by fresno performance

i was able to put down 287hp and 307tq when i was last dynoed. guy that tuned it says on a cool day, i'd be close to the 300hp mark.

but again, welcome. :)

Depends on which chapter you're talking to.

Like Ichiduo, there is a few Mach in that chapter, same with South Carolina.
There's not too many here in San Diego, maybe 1 or 2. But all our cars are street cars and the fastest one we have in the San Diego Chapter is 7.5 1/8th street car. We have track car that run currently at 7.06 1/8th. We do not have a 1/4 mile here in San Diego.
We have a chapter in Missouri also. Windveil Blue is the president of that chapter.

As for the other post about us going there to ask for a burnout, I can tell you it was not anyone from our group that was there. But that is the past and like you said we shall move on. Welcome again.

yeah, there are a lot of machs in this area. surprisingly, i know of two more competition orange ones, besides my own. there's a black mach and a dsg one too. if we could get them all to join, i'd try and get this chapter changed to "wickedstangs: mach 1 chapter"...
