throttel body spacer

hey i was wondering if any of u have put a throttle body spacer on any of ur cars. is it worth the money and time to put on one and if so which brands do u prefer???? or would i have to do a new exhast system to see the true potential that it would give???:bobobobo:

i wouldnt waste my money until you already had exhaust inake t body mass air meter tuner etc.

Yes, I did (Prior to S/C).

A company in LA used my car to test their prototype unit and it failed miserably on the dyno. NO gain in HP and NO gain in Torque. That part is now on sale at Summit and Jegs for about $100. It did me no good. They let me keep the part. It was literally a paper weight until I sold it to an unsuspecting......er......naive person who really wanted it for testing, I suppose.

Anyway, it did NO good.

ok cool what kind of exhaust then??? i wasa thinking mostly just one part at a time startin with the x pipe and then workin my way to long tube headers then to axle back

MAC prochamber for the rumble and horsepower gain. With smog elimination and a prochamber I gained 11hp and 21lbs of torque. Dyno conducted at the same shop and only mods.

I wouldnt go with T.B spacer or T.B unless you have a Automatic car. The 5 speeds RPMS jump up and decrease to fast for the drive by wire system to compinsate for the larger T.B. in my opinion. My car was dialed in with the BBK T.B. and dint like it if I jumped on it et off and mashed it would go into safe mode. I do know two guys that have Auto's and there cars love them.. both BBK. one guy even shoots NOS.

I personaly have JBA axcel backs, JBA off road X-pipe w/ BBK Headers. I would have prefered JBA but didnt have the money at the time. I would sugest what ever headers you go with make sure the gasket is dentured or at least the headers so you get a good seal. I had to pull mine twice till JBA used there gaskets that actually have a lip that slides into the block.. If you like to hear my car you can go to our last dyno day thread and hear my car. good luck they are a pain in butt to put on
