Well first let me say Hello. I am brand new to Wicked Stangs and am enjoying the website so far. I am currently on deployment so unfortunately will not be joining any events for awhile but will view the website regularly. Anyways I have a dilemma I will face as soon as I get home, Keep putting money into my 91 LX that has 134k or sell it and upgrade to a newer one. I love my LX, it was my first car and have owned it for almost 5 years. It has almost all the basic bolt ons and now it is ready for a rebuild and possible serious work. My father and I finished all the body work before I left and it is currently in the paint booth. Does it make sense to dumb more money into a car and the value of it will only go down? 134k is alot of miles although i know these cars last forever... So my question is what should I do? Sell my car and upgrade or finish out my project... All opinions are welcome

I say if your happy with what you have keep it! If you get a new stang your gonna have to start from scratch on the upgrades. All in all it's gonna be a tough decision that you have to make.

Some days I love the car then other days I cant wait to get rid of it. Little projects like replacing a leaking power steering rack make me think why do I want to deal with this old car... But then the next day I get a compliment and I am back to happy. Hopefully after I come home and see the new paint and start on my AOD to t-5 conversion I will fall back in love with it.

well just a wild idea. you could keep the car and update all those problem areas to more modern parts. find a wrecked 05+ gt and transplant the engine,tranny,rearend,powersteering rack, ect......... then you'll have the best of both worlds. and one hell of a sleeper. but, good luck with what ever you choose.
