Wickedstangs R/C racing???

hey y'all,

Who would be interested in a Wickedstangs Radio Controlled Racing group?
Here's what I have in mind: We choose a common chassis in 1/10 scale, one with alot of available hop up parts and aftermarket support.
The only spec rule will be that all share the same chassis, we allow the individual to choose thier own Motor/ control, suspension upgrades battery pack etc....
The cars will use Mustang bodies (HPI has several including a 2004 and 2005) or a Ford (i.e. GT40, AC Cobra etc...).

I am researching the chassis now, The HPI 10th scale touring/drift chassis is the front runner.
I have found a source for Lexan Bodies for Mustangs 1966, 1968, 2004 and 2005... further research will probably turn up more, but this covers about 2/3 of our cars...
I am standing by to assist anyone with assembly, painting bodies, mods etc..

I think it would be a fun addition to many of our events, to include races, RC autocross whatever else.

What do Y'all think?

If anybody already has a car... I would say that we say as long as it is in the 1/10-1/12 scale range (most common) than they can play... I am looking at the HPI chassis for price and availability of aftermarket parts... I would like to see if we can do a group buy of the bassic set up and keep costs down.

if your having trouble with a Nitro car... I can show you how to swap out the Nitro engine with a brushless electric.. The car will be 1) Faster 2) easier to control 3) easier to maintain.
Y'all let me know what cars you do have and lets see what we have to work with. Aso we can get you new bodies and paint them up to match your car (real car).
For those interested who don't have a car let me know so I can get a feel for how many chassis we will order. I'll post up the chassis when I get all the details straight, plus a price run down..
