As was stated by Nick this last Wicked Wednesday,
there are a few fundraising options/ideas that we can pursue as a chapter. The hardest part for us wont be the organization, but the motivation. We need man (and women)-power to help us get these community tasks accomplished.
While it's been warm out, a lot of thought has been put into doing carwashes sponsored by Wicked Stangs Whidbey and small town businesses. There are a few places such as Autozone, Arby's, Banner Bank, etc.. who will lend us their parking lots to hold these events. Cold or warm, we can raise a good bit of money and also get cars washed the right way - with a bit of representation of our clean cars parked in the lot too.
Another idea is the family that has some acreage out here that needs some upkeep weekly/monthly. Nick has the connection and more details but basically this comes down to man-power once again and commitment. Once we put our Wicked Stangs Whidbey name on this and other projects, we need to show up and hold true to our word. Serious stuff but lots of fun too if we can make some big jobs a lot smaller.
