I'm not trying to ruffle any 01 cobra drivers feathers, but I read that Ford underrated the Bullitt at 265bhp b/c they didn't want to piss off the 01 cobra owners, which were rated at 320bhp. Later Ford came out and said the the Bullitts were rated at 275bhp underrating them once again. Most dynos show the stock Bullitts at around 295bhp...

295rwhp? I didnt know they where that under rated. Most s197 dyno stock around 260-270 for example. They are 300 at the flywheel. So if its true you dyno stock 295bhp is that rear wheel coming from a dyno? That would put your around 350hp on motor stock ro am I reading thread wrong. You said dyno I am thinking to the wheels. Even if its 295 on the block that is still good but isnt the mach higher. I got alot of respect for the machs they are nice looking and with the right driver they are very impressive

nice kill! well have to meet up some time at a light for some fun. 185 on the bike is fun as well ive pegged out the cobra it went past 160. i think be and bj did 150 a couple times

Brake horsepower = flywheel HP. I don't think he meant 295 RWHP?? Right? I know very little about Bullits in stock/nearly stock form.
