Well heck, lets start making some parts and selling them before anyone else does. I have been approached by one small company but they never followed up. Many have asked me to make them a pair and I'm not set up for production runs in my garage. LOL

I think I'd want to sell my idea for a very modest fee and let whoever buys it make their millions. I'm not in this to make money. I just thought it was a cool, easy to make, simple design that would fit literally every Mustanf built since 2005 except for the Shelby's.

It's the start up costs that are expensive. Making the mold isn't cheap. But once that's done, you could make parts and sell them EXCLUSIVELY here at WS and make people come to YOU for the parts!

We should talk offline but there's no hurry. This other company who sells online hasn't been in touch in over a month. You snooze, you loose, I guess.

I also have a mold made for my own headlight splitters. I think it works out to about $3.40 a pair to make and they're selling them for $100!

Here's a pic of the splitters during a test fit. I liked them higher than in the middle. Lo and behold, the new Knight Rider movie comes out and they have splitters high up too. Hmmmmm........

Anyway, this is a one side fits both sides application as well. Just flip it around for the "other" side. Mounts with 3M tape.

GT 400 where are mine? I like soem o those as well as I said in past lol. I have a question? This was brought up by windveil to me. I was gonna have a muffler shop make me a x-pipe but he said the flow something already is designed that is how these companys make ther hp and sound. It wouldnt work it u just welded something up gt400 you have to talk to him more about it befoe you go cutting you hp may suffer from sound. It might not pass emmisions either

I don't know if I believe any of that....most of it at least.

Back Pressure-More important for diesels than anyone. Some believe some is good or your car won't run right. Maybe yes, maybe no. I believe this may be true....for NATURALLY aspirated motors. As for us supercharged guys, the faster you can get it OUT, the faster you can get a new load of air/fuel mixture in. Go run two miles and then tell me, can you breathe easier with a 1.5" pvc pipe stuck in your mouth, or a 3" pipe?

That's what I believe and every dyno man, tuner and racer has told me the same. Back pressure is mostly a myth with exceptions. If some want to flame, go for it. I don't care.

EMISSIONS: Really? What rocket scientist came up with this one? What in the world difference would it make on my emissions whether the muffler is moved back or forward three feet? The muffler has absolutely NOTHING to do with emissions. It muffles sound, not unburnt hydrocarbons. If perhaps you're referring to my x pipe, maybe I should explain that this is an AFTER cat x pipe. Nothing in the exhaust system that has to do with the cats, MILs or anything else emissions related has been tampered with. The notion that changing the shape of a pipe or it's direction or the moving of a muffler from right after the cats to 5 feet away from the cats (or vice vesa) and that having anything to do with the molecular makeup of the pollutants passing therein is....well........absurd!

It is well accepted in the industry that an H pipe is better for Torque and the X pipe is better for sound. I couldn't care less about my torque, how much could it change? 5-10-15 lbs? I want the car to sound good. That was my reason for the x pipe.

That's my opinion. See my NEXT post for more info.

More info on H and X pipes here:

Info on backpressure here:

And the info on emissions: Well, that's just common sense.

Here's a quote:

"Axle backs do nothing for our cars but change the sound maybe pick up 3 to 5 hp. The more you open these cars up the better they run, and I might add you get better gas mil. If you worry about that kinda stuff. Headers and a x-pipe will show RWHP gains as well as seat of your pants improvements."
