1989 Fox steering colum in a 1992 FOx

ok i want to get rid of this ugly ass airbag steering wheel, And i also want tilt wheel.. does anyone know if i will have any problems with putting in a older say 89 steering colum with no air bag..

the reason i ask is because i cant find a steering colum with a air bag and tilt.... did they make them?

Im not sure. I definitely agree with getting rid of that ugly steering wheel though. Do you know how to hook up an airbag to its sensors and stuff?

put a grant in it and take out the airbag bulb in the dash 89 did not have tilt

All 89 have tilt. All you do is swap out the 93 for a 89 no more air bag and you have tilt. They didn't make air bags a tilt until after 93

....93 and after............my 93 has a driver side airbag

yea i just know oestang 08 on here told me that i had to run the right headlight harness or i would have charging issues do to the air bag... was wondering if i would have the same problem with replacing the steering column for a tilt non air bag... i have posted on another forum and got the answer i was looking for... going to go to a junk yard soon and pick a 89 and old column up for the tilt...

Please post up how it goes.... I hope you are not going to have to cut and splice the turn signal unit.. In a airbag car the Turn Signal unit is farther back then a 87-89 column steering wheel. Im sure it can be done but its gonna take some trial and error.... OE:rock:
