I have a buddy who is a nuc on my ship. He just bought a USED 06 with 45000 miles on car. He was asking me about our club and what S/C he should go with ect. He wants to go with the Roush just like ALbert did.. lol. I already warned him what would happen. He was like well I just want to get something with my re-enlisment. I was like what did you get 70K he was like well I got 85,000. Makes me sick! I told him go all out do the body kit he wants, and go through his whole moter do it right with forge internals ect. Then I told him buy a house with rest of money and put the car in garage and drive his celica back and forth to work. LOL

Someone correct me if I am wrong but, minimum re-enlistment is 2 years. And you someone is not re-enlisting for a school or SRB it doesnt make sense to re-up for more than that. It "could" give you a little leverage when trying to get orders. Im not sure why they wouldnt let you extend though. Does it have to do with "perform to serve"?

yes Joe 2 is the minimum. The problem with doing that though unless you talk to your detailer directly to neg. he will look at your years you have left to serve and give you orders based off your time. Its always better to contact him to neg. and then just do a min enlistment from there...for example if your a bootcamp and its your first time up for shore duty only re up for those years dont let anytime carry over. That way you dont go back out to sea for anytime. It gives you a better desicion to make in long run if your on the fence to go back to sea. It is better to reup for 6 years though when it comes to your SRB. Hope this helps

Yeah I know that.. Your PRD will not always marry up w/ your EAOS. but you also have a window for re-enlistment, it doesnt have to be done on your EAOS

you know what sucks. my eas is oct 09, so you would think that i could re-enlist anywhere in 09 right. WRONG. because it is FY10. so they are gonna make me wait til oct, then extend me til i finish my contract. they wont let me re-up out in kablahmastan and get it tax free

yes that is true you have to re up in the FY. I was going to do that before when the SRB was 1.5 and just take the cut for the 2 monthes but they wouldnt let me and it dropped to .5 was a diffrence of 10,000 Instead of 16 I got 6k

that sux, if i latmove into counter-intel (still thinking about it) 80k, if i stay GSE its 29k, the downside to the intel job is an extremely high deployment rate and never able to tell my wife what it is that i do all day. the downside to the GSE is ive been doing it for 5 years, and i want something new

I would like to do GSE, Construction or just womthing to use or possibly be shore duty. I am tired of being a ABE. Long hours, always dirty, dont get to eat out to sea.... I could go on and on
