I used to work for Galpin Ford in the LA area. Those are some great incentives!! Here's where it can get sweeter for the buyer.......

When they offer special rebates like that, they don't combine that with discounted or special interest rates. It's either or. Don't take in-house financing unless you grind them on the rate. Most don't know that interest rates can be marked up for additional profit up to 2.5 percent on top of what the bank qualifies you for. They are not required to disclose interest rate profit.

Try to get pre-approved through your own bank or credit unions. Then you know there won't be "hidden profit" in the rate. Only downfall to that is that you don't get the Ford Credit Bonus Cash. That's only if you finance through Ford Credit. Sometimes it may work out better depending on your downpayment and financed amount. With these Bonus rebates, I've seen folks with credit scores of 750+ pay 10 percent interest or more. You just have to shop alot and have patience. Don't buy while your'e smelling the new car smell.

Just tell them you wont pay any more interest then 1.9% and make them live with it. LOL. Works for me all the time....well except for my first car. Three at 0% and one at 1.9%. If they want the sale, they'll work the deal.

That's is very true. Always stick to your guns. It helps if you make friends with people in the car sales industry. they can tip you on special rates available. They're always available but mostly limited to certain models. For example, Ford right now has awesome deals on the radio, but if you listen to the end of the ads, they exclude GT500 and the new 09 F150. New or "hot" vehicles are usually excluded from incentives and/or interest rate specials.
