4th of July Car Show-2009 Freedom Festival

sdsubzero4

Spring Valley, CA
MWR and USA Federal Credit Union is sponsoring a car show at the ASW Center in Pt Loma on July 4, 2009 from 4-7PM.
I spoke with Bill Wells, organizer for this event and he said that its opened to both military and civilians and will be no problem getting on base. The deadline on the application he said go ahead and disregard, but get them sent in ASAP as spaces are limited. If you need an application, let me or wickedstangs know and we'll get you one.

From those who attended last year they said was a great time and this year looks like the same thing. There will be a VIP Section to watch the fireworks, a "Great American Picnic" and each entrant will receive an event T-Shirt. There will be a "Best of Show" CMC and People's Choice Trophy. To enter the base, you will need a government ID (Driver's License).

We will be meeting in Mission Valley in the parking lot between Bank of America and Bennigan's on Seau's side of the mall. We will meet there at 11 am and planned departure time is 11:30am. We need to be there between 12pm and 1pm. Make sure you guys have your registration faxed in ASAP otherwise you will not be able to get on base.

CMC trophy......hmmm maybe if that is my CMC, I could win something this year.......LOL

I will be there..... can you post an electronic copy of the entry form on here?

For those that are military or retired, you can reserve a room on FASW at Admiral Kidd Inn starting on the 4th of June. They go extremely quick......a few hours to sell out all rooms. Well worth the cost as I had one with Emilio last year and it let us have a retreat from the sun that day.

Items to bring:
Water
Drinks
Food(unless you want to walk off the base to the Subway etc across the street)
Sunscreen
Chairs
Blanket if you want to chill in the grass
Money for snacks and such as there are vendors

Don't have an electronic copy and nothing on their website. Will have to wait for Emilio to generate one.
