well this is my second 99 and the only prob that i've found is the tranny's arn't strong enough.

no there great cars once all the recalls and everything is fixed on them. But the 99 was the most problematic cobra ever made

yea but, it fixed a lot of the problems of the 96-98 cobras. aka the heads@intake manafold

i like my 96.... its alright for my first car i think and a daily driver. 115k thus far

if you did a FR500C head and intake upgrade you'll probably gain about 60-80hp with the frpp high lift cam@valve kit. i'm thinking about going in this direction with a 5.1l stroker kit before i use a power adder. figured i'd be close to 400hp at the wheels all motor.

bull $hit....i got 120 on mine and the oil after 3k is cleaner than my 04 pontiac. talk about a well built lastimg motor!

ok beej, fresh 5.0 and a fresh 01 cobra motor. run them as fast as they can go, and see whitch one shuts down first. i know that my motor was built to go past 300k on the stock internals. how about yours.
