well i put the a set of rear Vert springs in the back of this car... it sat up about 2 1/8 inch higher then normal V8 springs.. So i cut out about 1 and a half coils which makes it sit perfect in the back... but now the 4cyl front springs sit about a inch higher then stock V8 springs??

was thinking about cutting half a coil out of the front springs... but i dont want it to sit to low.... I do have a set of front vert springs but i feel they will sit way to high and dont really know how much to cut off of them....

I know a could buy a set of lowering springs cheap... but this is a build on a very tight budget and really dont care about right quality

any ideas would be great.......

Screw very springs man..... that was a bad buy or pick up, however you got them.... Honestly You would be better off trying to find a set of 93 cobra rear springs with 80k+ miles they are great they have about a 160 spring rate on them and will lower your car decently as well as it will have a nice squat when you do drag racing... not sure what your going for... Dont touch your front 4cyl springs keep them the same. they will also help with the weight transfer when drag racing... but like i said im not to sure what your going for. If you post on corral in the classifieds just look for some used 93 cobra springs... =) hope i could help

well like i said i want sure what ur going for.... ig u are going for drag racing... i wouldnt of put them on there, even if ya picked up a donor for $400, there are somethings i dont give up quality on usually when it comes to racing! and i usually focus on numbers, and the 93 cobra springs are the Best quality for the buck i picked up my set that has about 95k miles on them for $50. And ill be running Coil overs in the front.

talking about quality and 50 dollar springs with almost 100,000 miles in the same post makes no sense man... this hole car is being built on a VERY VERY VERY tight budget.... I only have 900 in the whole car and sense this thread was started have change the build idea over to a more all around car instead of all drag...

battle boxes, Subframe connectors, boxed factory control arms, BBK shorty headers, underdrive pulleys, Firewall adjuster, Adjustable clutch cable and quick release quadrant, hurst short throw shifter, Hurst shifter with white shift ball, stock 4cyl rear end with 3:73 gears..

the future will be a Crane cam 2031 cam, holley systemax intake, AFR or edelbrock, or maybe ported gt40 heads, and a 100 shot Nitrous..
