no way....cause when we launched from a stand still...i was about 5+ lengths in front of him by third and pulling away...i just lost when we raced from 60+

that right there tells me you ran out of gears... if you really like racing like
that, on the freeway get 3:90's or if you like gas milage go 3:73's

Nah... I really appreciate your feedback and advice, quite honestly. I actually took the car out today for a spin around the subdivision, and something tells me the *noise* I keep hearing is maybe an exhaust leak? Cuz the damn thing certainly hasn't lost any horsepower... I had it damn near completely sideways when I nailed second after I left my buddy's house. I really came close to launching it into the woods... LOL. But it felt AWESOME after not driving it for WEEKS. Sent a big friggin' shot of adrenaline up my spine.

That is good to hear Jim. Now more money for mods huh. Going to spend 1000$ before I leave for cruise to get Nos, and hood. After cruise wil be new DR,s head work cams Then go from there I guess. I was looking into a roll bar as well lol. This summer I want to be in the 11.s or at least low 12

See my plan is to have a 12.40 car on motor... and the same car on the bottle running 10.80's....It will probably be a 12.90 car on the bottle for a while... at least a year... then its tryin to get the car in the 12's on motor, that will get me low 11's high 10's on the bottle... to me thats the perfect street car..

That's what my goal is... a 10 or 11 second street car that looks nothing like a track car. Just a few body mods and that's it. Gateway will not let me race again until I install a roll bar, but I refuse to tear up my perfect interior for that shit. I'll just plead ignorance this coming spring... lol.

Doing what? Getting away with no roll bar? Or getting it into the tens? Hopefully all motor after headwork, cams and valvetrain. Motion control deletes, trottle body... and if that doesn't work to get it at least into the mid 11's, I am going to go with Andy's mantra... I'll put it on the bottle... LOL. If ya can't beat 'em, join 'em.

depends on how busy track is though. I priced roll bars for a 4 point they are cheap
