a fixit ticket

i got a fix it ticket like a month ago for my smoked taillights.i changed my light and got it signed off by an officer. So i went to court, showing proof.Thinking that i was only gonna pay like 10 dollars for the fix it,the lady says i have to pay 165 greens..is this resonable, anybody else had this problem before, because i thought it was just too much for a fixit ticket

i got a 4 point ticket and hundred something dollars. I changed them back to stock. went to court and they totally dropped it. I then went home and changed it back out for my smokes. LOL I got real lucky!

Man, Alan, I don't know what to tell ya. A fixit ticket usually not that high unless the vc (vehicle code section) they use was for a slightly different violation. What court did you go to?

check your ticket see what section you were cited for. Its too much for a simple fixit ticket. Give me the vehicle code they wrote you up for. I'll look it up. I'm thinking its not just a fixit, there's a fine attached to it too.

you know what might be the problem..i had the same fixit a while ago and i smoked my lights again,u think that might be the reason being the second time..and the first time i only paid 10 dollars,i totally forgot about that(being the second time)

about 4 months,im going bak and talk to them

Hmmmm, that could be a possibility, but I still think its too steep. I really think the ticket you got was not a simple fixit ticket but it is an infraction with a fine. Because there are infraction where you have to show proof of correction and it still have an attached fine. I think one of them is a broken light.

whats it matter the courts not going to change it... just pay your fine and be done with it... you knew they were illegal in the first place!
