Fastsleeper had found a place for a little "side trip" if anyone is interested in going. This is the information she found. Sounds like a neat little retreat/getaway. If you have any questions, please PM her. Time and spaces are limited. I like to thank FS for doing the research for this.

I spoke with Barbara, the manager, and due to the pending sale of the individual cabins they will only be for rent until May 26 (the last day available). Unless they change their mind. However, the rest of the resort will remain available to all campers as usual. There are RV / Van hookup sites and tent sites.
The cabins are awesome. EVERYTHING is provided except your food and linens for bed and bath. The cabins are each a different design and all sleep 6 - 8 people. They are air conditioned, fridge, stove, oven, TV with CD player, bathtub and shower, covered front porches, etc.
You can check all ammenities at website but: very kid friendly, laundry, showers for those in RV or tent sites, 3 swimming pools, playground, etc.
Group rates: they only apply to RV/tent campers: must be a group of 8 or more; $35.00 per night with 10% discount.
The cabins are $95.00 per night for weekdays and $125.00 per night weekends which would be super cheap if y'all shared a cabin. There are only four of the big cabins but there are also one bedroom cabins but I don't know info on those.
As I mentioned, a number of people bring their dirt bikes and those three wheeled whatever you call them bikes too. Hiking trails, with a guide if you want one, horse riding, etc. And yes, there are fire pits and such. When Barbara books a group she will do her best to put everyone in the same 'circle'.
I am definitely going in case this is the last time for the cabins. I have been there many times and I LOVE being there. I will go either the weekend of May 16 or 23 kind of depending on you all. I usually go out on a Friday and leave Sunday late afternoon since it stays light so long now.
Check it out. Let me know. If you do decide to go you need to book your reservations. Tell Barbara you are with Lucinda so she can save the best place for you and treat you special special.
