<div>Day one of the SEMA show found us at the booth of ABACO Performance. ABACO specializes in Mass Air Meters that will work on just about any car on the planet today. As Rick Anderson of ABACO told us, “You buy this Mass Air Meter and you can transfer it to any vehicle you want throughout your life. All you need to do is download the free calibration program specific to your vehicle from our website, and you’re ready to go.”<br />

According to Anderson, the four sensors built into the Mass Air Meter make all the difference. The Meter can detect back pressure from mechanical events like big cam applications, and determine the actual flow of the air through the engine, where single sensor meters cannot. Apparently, the four sensors are set up to work in pairs and the signals between the pairs are averaged out. The rest of the magic is the flash programming which is unique to each engine platform. These programs have been developed over the last two years on the flow bench and on the streets.<br />

<li>Multi-sensor design allows the meter to be installed in any configuration, at any clock rotation with little or no signal deterioration.<br /></li>

<li>Works on multiple makes of automobiles with just a harness adapter change.<br /></li>
