Advice on wat route I should take

Well I'm thinking of doing some stuff to my car

1-do the conversion to v8

2-add a turbo and upgrade my rearend and I might need to change out my tranny if it keeps slliping. Oh and change out the mufflor with something that sounds better.

I have found the stock rear end and tranny on craigslist for 150$ bits that's all I have found till this point.

Someone please give some advice.

Depends if you want to be like everyone else or make a unique project. If you want something unique, go for the turbo option and upgrad the transmission. I wouldn't go after the rear until it gives up on you. The 7.5 isn't an awesome piece of machinery, but niether is the 8.8. I think you can clean up that car, get the turbocharged engine installed and throw down some mean numbers. If you decide to take the V8 option later, you'll be able to offload the turbo engine and use it towards your next build. I guess the big question is....WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR? If it's a power added motor, maybe an 03/04 cobra engine, N/A: maybe a 351 or 331 stroker. You have to look at what kind of numbers you're searching for and then we can better advise.

Breakdown:
Unique = turbo 4cyl
Power = name your poison, supercharger/twin turbo/N/A

As for my tranny it's automatic


And yes I want to be unique so that would be the route I want to take so wa t do I need to get as far as parts. I mean if I plan to buy a turbo wat else would I need to upgrade sorry I have never added a turbo to a 4cyl engine. As for the rear end well I guess I could wait till later. Thanks

so how much for the long block and would i be able to but the stock a/c compressor on that enigine or dose it come with one. cuse there is a guy on craiglist who is going to sell me the whole system i need for my car out of his 4cyl 93 hacth fox for cheap just wandering if it will fit this enigine as well. im working on a deal to get the rest of the car aswell maybe to donat the stuff of of it to anyone who needs it here.

so will i need to get a diff tranny than wat i got now or will mine work on that engine? but if it dose then yes man ill take it oh and since i dont have the other a/c componets in my car now do you have them or do i need to get them somewere else?

I have a computer for that engine he is selling you 60 bucks + shipping and its yours... its out of a merkur... I can get you the complete harness as well if you want to do that....

cool man thanks ill let you know ok cuse i still need to no if i need to get a diff tranny or can i use the one i got and wat other stuff do i need to upgraed on my car.

ok well it seems this is the cheapest route i could take with the most to gain and still keep my build unige. ill shoot you a pm wen i get the money ok. it might not be till i get back from picking up the family so ill let you no thanks for all your help hopefully i once i get it i can get someone to help me install it. i plan to get a used tranny and rear end cuse mine aint doing so good and i can get both for under 200 bucks so will see thanks

one_sick he doesnt need the computer i have, or the trans he can reuse??

also he will need a merkur or turbo stang wiring right?? i can get one for him out of a merkur or a turbo Coupe thunder bird, i have excess to both!
