An idea for us to build on

WOW, I didn't realize all the sponsors we had lined up. I can barely stop my phone from ringing....OH WAIT...IT HASN'T rang once. If all these sponsors are so anxious, they would contact us once you mentioned it to them. Look at the forum front page and all the sponsors lined up and supporting this site. Maybe the President is the guy who has been working so hard to line them up.

Yes, you can come on here and post whatever you want and I'll just LAUGH!!!!!

As for the race car....

I agree that we need a plan for the car that is dynamic and we need to make decisions as a group to determine the progress and which direction to take. When I first attempted to form this team, we bounced between engines and how to get it on the road...SIX MONTHS waisted. Everybody will not be happy no matter which way we go, TO BAD!!!! A vote was made and the brakes were purchased...thing of the past.

How was the money raised for the brakes:

$120 headers sold
$120 H pipe sold
$15 bushings sold
$10 flaming river sold
$50 Fight night

The difference was paid out of the President's pocket.....so much for the donations be spent on brakes.

All the donated money is being placed towards the torque converter, just in case a sponsor is not found.

Donations:

You never have to give. We dont require people to donate to the club, we only hope that you will. The club has been an inspiration in my life and I just so happen to have the opportunity to give at this point in my life. Spending time with the members at the track, at the shows and even at Sonics always lifts my spirits. I give because this club gives so much to me. Each person can contribute as they desire and if they can.

I never judge anyone by what they give materially, I judge them on their morales and inner core.

As you can tell, I have read the thread and it actually started out constructive and then the whining began. If you dont have answers or suggestions...go make your own thread and call it "WHINERS".

Just logging on and reading this thread…. Frankly, I don’t understand the need for all this drama and really tired of having to cater to it. Seems as though a lot people like to jump on a band wagon…

CLARIFICATIONS:

Point# 1 - When we received the sponsorship from AJE, they told us the system that was given to us for free only worked with certain types of brakes. We contacted those companies for sponsorship of those brakes, but no luck (most likely a consequence of the current economic state and recession). Also, fabricating our own brakes was not recommended by the owner of AJE. Yes it is possible, but not recommended. Anything can be “jerry rigged”, but this is not the route we want to take with the CLUB car. Remember, the goal is to continually make it faster. We need to do it the “right” way.

Point# 2 – A vote was posted to decide whether to move the money from the torque converter to the brakes, and the majority vote was to move the money to the brakes. BRAKES ORDERED.

Point#3 – Everyone’s input is welcomed, but the decision of what comes next will be decided at the meetings and by the majority. If you want your opinions heard, come to the meetings and reply to the posts about them. Don’t get upset if your opinion is not the route we take; the decisions are made by the majority and NEVER by one single opinion. Those of you with strong opinions about the Club should consider joining the Board Members.

Point#4 – Every, responsible member in the CLUB is welcome to race the CLUB racecar. Yes, a few individuals have been denied this privilege, mostly due to the lack of maturity and responsibility. However, those particular individuals have proven differently now and would be allowed to drive the racecar. Just ask…

Point#5 – I’m a very busy person and do not have cell phone access during the day (because of security reasons at my work). Regardless of the impression that I am online at Wicked Stangs 24-7 (I often leave my computer on, and the home page is Wicked Stangs), I’m really not. If I haven’t gotten back to you on something, you can try calling me or try contacting one the board members. Point here is if I don’t get back to you, it’s not because I’m ignoring you.

Point#6 – In the 11 years Wicked Stangs has been around, NO ONE has invested more time and money in the club than me. I’m really frustrated (and insulted) by the insinuations and accusations being thrown around here. I am not just a Chapter President, I am the creator of Wicked Stangs, and this club was not created for monetary reasons or to benefit me in anyway. I created Wicked Stangs for FUN, and I intend to keep it that way and DRAMA FREE. No more discussions on this topic.

Point#7 – This racecar project was started so we can have fun with it. Every single penny donated has been used for the car. Enough with the drama and let’s get back to the fun….

i really was just replying to what other people posted and had concerns on. I would like to point out tho that i AM still in the san diego chapter, just doing business here and there, so that remark about the WS race car being only for them.. uncalled for and rude.
i just say like all who care bout WS, lets get the car out to the track. im done.

Every discussion that goes against your thoughts or beliefs shouldn't be considered drama. The point was there are resources in the club...use them. Although sometimes not always convenient they are here. With that said, every brake system you buy will come with a bracket for the calipers, so I hardly think a $30,000 plasma cutter can be considered a "jerry rig". Yes a vote was posted, but all options were not given or even realized at the time. Enough on that.

Next, the "majority" as you say is not where most decisions are made. They are 9 times out of 10 being made by 2 people who are putting the most into the car and sometimes behind the scenes. Get mad if you want, but it's the truth. Not saying I care, but lets be real.

Lets get off the high horse about how you created WS. The members make the club. Any Retard can start a club you just so happen to have the passion for mustangs and the ability to run a website that keeps everything glued together. You have also have a wife who will put up with it, therefore you are the "El Presidente".

Just lock the thread as it had good intentions that will never be realized because instead of people being men and taking constructive criticism they get defensive. Well guess what? TOO BAD!

My phone will be on all day, but I won't be taking calls. The bandwagon make things noisy and I can't hear. :drum: :)

I'm sure this is going to upset a few of you when you wake up, but I have to say my piece wether it's what you want to hear or not.

For what it's worth I think you guys did a great job with the car and I'm sure it will do well as time progresses.

Nothing more really needs to be said, your right. But I would like to say I wish we would get back to the reason we did this car and thats for fun and pride in our club. Again, what other club does things like this? None that I know of. I really hope we take this and just move on into a more positive, constructive direction. Its the 1st, so we have a meeting coming up, correct? Looks like we need to knock out alot of topics. Also I want to point out the Holidays are coming up and things will become even tighter money wise and members will be spending less time with the club. So we should knock out a plan. Please everyone, lets move in a positive direction from here and set aside our differences. Thanks.

I agree, no more on this topic needs to be discussed. This thread may have started out with good intentions, but escalated into something else by some with a DEMAND for a response. The Board Members make collective decisions, other decisions are posted for a vote. The Board Members were created for a reason, and we use them.

Not mad, but get upset when people question my intentions and dedication about this club (takes a lot more than just passion to keep things going). Also, never been the type to prance around like a peacock as "the leader"; those of you who know me, know this. Absolutely agree, members make the club, and we have A LOT of GREAT people (yes, this includes you Orange) that has made the club fun for everyone. A big thanks to all of you!

Let’s just get back to business and build this car and get her to the track!
