We are required by law, to register our firearms and have been for years.. No Big deal right? I'm not so sure...
We must examine the historical reasoning behind "the right to bear arms". Aside from the obvious need (in colonial America) for firearms to shoot food.. The Right to bear arms was intended to give the citizenry the ability to rise up against any unjust government which might try to install itself in the young country. Governments should be scared of the people not the other way round.
Realistically that isn't the case anymore in the age of high tech fire and forget weaponry. No group can hope to overthrow the Government using small arms. However we as Americans have always retained an inherent right to "self Defense". This is what the anti gun lobby is soon to irradicate.
The criminal element do not obtain their guns legally anyway. Disarm the populace and they will run wild on our streets.
Personally I distrust any attempt to quantify gun ownership (so called black lists) A healthy fear of what the general populace might do in the face of injustice is essential to the continued success of our form of Government (its called checks and balances) Any attempt by any administration to bend the constitution ( or outright violate it) to suit thier own agenda, should be fought with every means available to us within the law.

The days you speaketh of are here:nonono: Everyday more and more people are questioning this administration and why they voted for this president. I can always be proud that I voted elsewhere. When do we as a people stand up for what we believe in and at this point are there avenues to do so? Will the American people wait until their hands are tied? I fear the next 4-8 years.-Shane

I fear for the next generations, these people are trying to remake America into a socialist "utopia" where the government owns and controls everything .
They're going to so f*** up this country it's going to take decades to undo it if it can be undone at all.
It scares the hell out of me.
