Another T/T day at Barona

I think traction comes into play. If you can hook at the Q just as well as Barona, then more than likely you will get faster times at the Q. The problem with the Q is the track is not that well prepped and people driving with street tires can't hook, but it's located at sealevel and the temps are usually cooler. Barona most of the time has a well prepped, but it's located 1650' above sea level and the temp is often warmer. I bet if you run in the Summer your times will be even slower.

last call, racing starts at 10 am..... it's should be sunny and low 60 Degrees F for the high good racing weather.

well it was nice day for racing it was pretty cool outside and it was also sunny, as far as racing goes there was quite a few mustangs there and a few imports as far as street cars go... DSG showed up after 12 today and only ran twice due to clutch problems, killerbee and his friend were there also they were laying the smack down, as for me, i ran a best of 8.22 at 86, which for me, is my best so far and i started launching more consistantly and i had 2 1.7 60's and 4 1.8's. overall it was good day for racing because there were very few cars and it was like a hot lapping competion.

i asked killer how did the car run, he said his first pass of the day he ran an 8.1 and most of the day was 8.2's and .3's for the most part, that he said and basicly DSG's clutch.... you could smell it....

Thanks man, you missed some good competion, there was a couple of guys with foxes that had blowers on them running low 7's and a high 6's. i had a couple of runs that i had a trap speed of 87 mph, i think if i got that fast she has some more ET left in her.

On dsg's first run, he went to warm the tires and his car wouldn't go in to gear, so they got him out of the staging area and i pulled up on his clutch then he was able to force the shifter in to gear, after that he was able to make a couple of runs before smelling the clutch. I had the same thing happen to me after bobby puttting in my stage 3 ram clutch along with quadrent with the clutch cable and the fire wall adjuster, i told Daryl that the car probably needs a fire wall adjuster seeing how his car was doing the same thing as mine when it wouldn't go in to gear.

well i am gonna try the cheapest thing first and see if i just need the fire wall adj, quadrant, and cable first. on the way home tonight from emilios i was on the 805 n and was in 6th gear, and just mashed it to see really how bad it was..........and well its bad. real bad. hopfully its just not engaging all the way, and the things above will fix it. other than that killed 2 s/c new edges on the track today. DSGs/cnewedgeslayer may be my new screen name soon. j/k thanks though today eric i really apprieciate the help. todd i may upgrade anyway later but i thought the10.5 twin friction king cobra would be pleny for next to stock power and tq. im startin to think they dont make a clutch for my type of driving yet.
