does he want a clarinet? I played saxophone all through school. I was thinkfull i chose that too. My mom played clarinet and wanted me to also. Much better part of the woodwind section. 90 clarinet players are girls when they make it into highscool. But to each his own.

Have you tried CL and the pawn shops? Maybe MCbullitt might have one at his place.....

i played the sax too, but tenor, the biger one....sounds great. but looking back i wish i played the drums.....they are so much cooler

I played one for 7 years. ended up joining the military coming back to my clarinet 6 months later cracked down the entire side because my parents left it in a closet touching the wall ( heat transfer and no moisture )

yeath i have been but like i said they are so expensive. im not trying to pay for than 100 bucks for one. the cheapest i found so far was for 200 at a pawnshop.
