anyone know anything about buffing and polishing?

Dont put too much pressure on it and keep moving... You dont want to burn through your clear cote. Do it in sections too...

im trying to put alittle life back into the paint but i think its too far gone. maybe a new paint job is in order.

if you wanna do it right and get best results need to start with a rubbing compound then polish...then wax maybe even start with a clay bar

+1 for clay bar. about $20 from Wal Mart or any auto part store. Then you can use Nu Finish or any of the oxidation/swirl remover compounds. The paint was really bad on by last 'stang and I got got full kbb on trade-in after having a cheap detail done on it. You could shop around for a detail as well, cheaper than paint.
