auto meter gauge wiring..

not certain if you can go directly into the stock harness with these. Most of the aeromotive gauges require a specialized sensing units that are calibrated. You can give it a shot and let us all know. Could save all of us a bunch of dollars. Those electronic gauges cost over $200 each.

congrats you just purchased a blind, inacurate pile of **** for $36

to get them to work you'll probably need their sending units of both oil pressure and water temps. after that they'll still be inacurate compared to mechanical units.

iwas thinking the same.. need sending units if they are not included.. but if they are, its a great freaking deal.

the sending units are on the way stright from auto meter.. 40 bucks for the water and oil pressure senders... so 80 bucks in the 3 gauges is still a great deal!.... I dont like the mechincal gauges... I dont like having a oil line run in my car.. and what makes a mechnical water or oil pressure gauge any more accurate then a elec...?

well really i dont give a ****... anything is better then the stock gauges and its all personal opinion... for you to say a electric autometer gauge that is 200 bucks is inaccurate is crazy... a autometer tach is electric... are thos not accurate..?

There are a lot of reasons why I personally prefer analog guauges over electrical guages.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAix5Mpk-mo"]YouTube - Autogauge boost gauges - electrical vs mechanical[/ame]

In a water temp situation is important to know exacly what the temp is doing or behaving from lets say normal 200-210 under boost or WOT. If under WOT and the temp shoots to 215-220, I want to know why it went an extra 5-10 degrees. And this is something an electric guauge sometimes doesn't register or if it does it's too late.

Same with oil pressure, if my engine at idle is at lets say 20 psi, if all of the sudden it drops to 17 psi, I know something is wrong. An electric guauge does not register these small changes or again if they do is too late and inacurate.

what about a wideband? a mechanical temp gauge works the same way as a electric... it reads resistance...

and i dont know if you noticed... but those are not just electric vrs mechical.. they are two different brand gauges..
