hey yall you know if the gt side badge on the s197 is 3m taped on or if it drilled and poped in ???

It is drilled and popped in with glue. I used a heat gun and a plastic putty knife to get mine off. I covered the holes with 03-04 cobra badges and a hurst badge under the snakes

Well, let me explain it a little differently.
The badges are taped on with a double-sided foam tape similar to 3M tape. There are 2 "locating" holes for pins on the back of the factory badges so that they are placed on the car uniformly throughout the manufacturing process. The holes are painted through so they won't actually be drilled but punched prior to painting. In short, yes, there are holes behind your gt badges.

thats wat i wanted to know makes it hard to change it out now without geting the body work done

Yep yep, easy process! Changed mine out to these many many moons ago on my old GT in 10 minutes. What badges ya got in mind?? -Shane
