Orange to answer your question no its not that easy. I just need practice. It felt weird in 3rd cause te ass end felt like it was moving around alot. I think I needed more air not sure. I was launching about 4-4500. The first time I launched and it hooked it scared me lol and I got out of it... I was burning the tires good though. It was cold as hell though I would have had better times if track would have been warmer. I am running a 26x10.5x15 M/T

Slicks or ET Streets ? They will feel a lil more mushy in the rear if they are slicks. I dont let the ET Streets go below 15 lbs but after a few runs you have to drop pressure a little bit.

Always start higher on the tire pressure and then slowly drop it to see if that helps when you do it the other way around and you don't have an air tank you're screwed. I know you say you were burning up the tires, but perception isn't always reality. If the burnouts were not good and the track was freezing cold you probably didn't build up the extra psi in the tires.

That's probably what caused it to sway in 3rd gear. Tire pressure too low.

I am not sure I just waited till they filled the wheel wells full of smoke. They didnt get full of rocks though on the return road so maybe they where not hot enough. It did launch good though when it hooked. If I ran behind someone else with slicks it would hook the street cars kept pulling water up to the line. I cant wait to get back out there though.

we should get someone to stay up at the line and let us know when we have gotten a good enough burn out.

My car will not hold still long enough to get a good burn out. It has been kicking sideways alot. I really want to get myself a line lock. I am not sure if that would help though.

im thinking a line lok too, i can usually get the tires warm enough on warm day with a 15 sec burnout but friday night with 50 degree temps were horrible for hooking up on my slicks....

Thanks 02. They have the same shifter ball as I have underneath with the button as well. I think I may get a t-handle though
Have you ever ordered from RPM though?

yeah, most of the time they are ok but dont believe there "free shipping", if you can find that line lok for that price, i know you can find it else where for the same or even cheaper....

just picked it up from summit for 151.00 shipped.... by the looks of the instructions it doesn't seem to be a very difficult install except for the holes to mount the solenoid....:)

Nice to see a couple of you at the track...VP and some others. Racelegal had the same crappy track as normal. No traction! And they haven't improved really much of anything. I was hoping for better. they had only 2 bathrooms for the whole track. Bad planning.

It was crowded with a lot spectators. Which really slowed down tech inspection. I won all my races including an unexpected win against a SRT8 Supercharged Jeep. He was running high 7's, so I was pretty happy.

And I won 2nd Place for my class. They no longer give trophies for 2nd. Instead they call it "runner up" and give you a cheap medal. REALLY sad! But it was fun all the same.

I saw the other Mustang club there, but didn't see any of them running.
