He wimped out and didn't run.
lol, no actually I ran at Irwindale on Thursday.
I adjusted way too many things once again not taking my own advice and threw the car out of whack.
1.) I adjusted the suspension which I shouldn't have done since the last time out were my best 60's ever.
2.) I switched sparkplugs
3.) I switched rear springs
4.) I was racing on empty when I usually start the day with 10 gallons.
Well, the car just wouldn't hook off the transbrake. It was hitting the tires pretty hard and then fish tailing a little. This was do to my suspension adjustment that threw my Instant Center measurement out of whack.
The new sparkplugs wanted more timing then the other style I was previously using and we didn't find this out until the 2nd to last run of the night.
Rear springs really didn't change anything, but the ass end of my car was too light and didn't help traction.
My best run of the night was my last run. I finally realized the car wouldn't hook using the brake, so I tried a footbrake launch and ran a 6.88 @ 100.23 mph.
This mayhem frustrated me into buying some suspension software that should guide me in the right direction. I've already started playing with it and it's given me some suggestions that should get me going in the right direction. I will also be addressing the converter again. It was recommended to get a 4300-4800stall. Mine only stalls to 4000rpm. I will likely make one more trip to the track and then yank the transmission and have the converter re-stalled. I want them to get it closer to the high side which is 4800rpm.
