i would deffinatly go with the 10.5 in the rear but the BF's are exspensive as hell and they dont last long. Maybe you just get some nittos 555r's, they will give you the best of both worlds, that last a long time and they hook pretty good.

This is my opinion guys so dont want to rub anyone wrong way: I have the BFG KDW's on back of my car now and love them.. they have great street performance as well as hook good at track ( 8.4 in 1/8th ) They are worth the money. I went through a set of pirellis (stock) in 3 to 5 months. I put on a set of Nitto D/R 17x 255 and hated them. I was glad I wheeled and dealed on C/L to get them I would have been very upset to buy them new for the performance I got out of them. If I heated them to much at track they where greasy and wouldnt hook. Not enough and was like a normal street tire. If I where you and your going with 17x10 go for the M/T drag radials and call it a day. I run the BFG's on my car and I think they hook just as good if not BETTER than the Nittos. It is my opinion! I know VP has Nittos and he likes them but he is running a set of meats on back of his so may work better for him. On my stock rims with Nittos the where not worth a crap

the nittos in my opinion are the best bang for the buck because i paid 150 per tire for my 555r's But they are 245/45/ r17 so that makes the difference. I would love to have a set of BF drag tires but 225 per tire is crazy, now on the other hand you can find a mickey thompson for about 200 per tire, i've even seen them for 180 per tire too.

i was looking at the KDW's that was my other choice but the 555r's had better overall reveiw from customers. now phil did you have the 555's or the 555r's? i have thr 555's up front and the 555r's out back 305's

well i use to not like the 10th avan cobra rims but when i saw this. these are what i'm gonna run in the back(17x 10.5) with 315 DR's and the factory ons up front(17x 9) with 275's street tires.
