BBK Throttle Body

Hey just wnated to let everyone know that if you plan on installing a BBk T.B. on your 05-07 Mustangs its better to have a dealer do the mod for you. The directions BBK sends with the kit is pretty simple to say the least. I think they should have been a little more in depth. I am sure now most of have seen the video that MuscleMustnags and fast fords have put out with there mag from Ford Racing. Well its not as simple as that guy makes it sound. There is no special tool that comes with the klit to put the spring tension back on the spring. Guess what there is not a parts break down for the spring by the dealer as well. They call it throttle body assembly. I know what your thinking its on 4 bolts and a few screws..take it from me installing the sensors on the BBk is a pain in the butt. I just called AAA to come tow my car to the Ford dealer. This Wed I am going to a diffrent dealer to have them install the part.

What!!!??? You had to tow your car to a dealer to install a throttle body??!!!!! **** that!! I don't have an 05, but I couldn't imagine having to do that.

yeah it sucks. It had to be towed to get the drive by wire sensor and spring re tensioned. The spring was bent on install from switching the stock drive by wire part to the BBK. Ford does not sell just the spring. They call it a throttlebody assembly. So they have to replace my whole T.B. So I am going to take it to another Dealer and have them Switch sensors. That way if they brake it they have to replace T.B.

Well guys here is the deal with my car. I went up there to Valley Ford and insisted that they don't reflash the computer. Well it was part of process so I had to let them. They found out that I had tampered with the T.B. so said it wasnt under warenty that I voided it on that part. I asked how much a new one would be because its a whole assembly. ( 647.00$) I threw a fit. I yelled and screamed and cussed a while then they called the general manager that talked to someone higher up and he told them.. IF He HAS NOT CHANGED ANYTHING INTERNAL (cams crank ect) WE HAVE TO COVER IT... I told them look the car was running when I dropped it off nothing is broke inside you have to take care of this..ect. I will have my car back WED with a new TB. I am going up to fresno to the Mustang shop to have them put on the BBK TB. I will take pics and post them on how to preform swap yourself. I am calling Ford Racing tommorow to find out about that Special tool they use to set the spring tension on the drive by wire set up. It cant be that much to purchase.

now BBk do not buy a throttle body from them to replace the stock on a 05-07. Its not worth the time or hassle. The gains are a min all it gave me is a better throttle response. It was profesionaly installed and still doesnt act right. The installer said its better just to buy one out of a diesal truck. Its actually a 75mm if I remmeber right and flows better. You also have the whole unit and do not have to mess with your dierect drive wire system
