my buddy bot a 347 from dss and had major issues i would stay away. dude, rebuild yours with forged internals, minor headwork and put on a roots style blower. with an agressive tune mine made 401 with 408 ftlbs at 9lbs of boost but i keep it turned down to 373/388. i plan on putting on a 10lb pulley when i get off my ass and swap the fuel pump and shooting for 430hp race tune. 430-440 is about the max you want to push on stock internals before it eventually says bye bye. i wouldnt do a stroker. not as driveable. there is a replacement for displacement, its called boost.

I really hate to say this but I agree with MAV. j/k I agree you have it torn apart do the heads and everything get it to flow better

The forged internals and tires will be first, as soon as my SRB check gets dropped into my checking account.... hopefully the 1st of Oct, so will be ordering soon there after.

We did a Mahle forged rods and piston upgrade on the 2003 GT. Right now with the Tork Tech supercharger, it is making 425 on 92 Octane and 440 rwhp with some 103 Street Blaze, at about 10 pounds of boost. The first thing that went was the clutch, so in went a new DF Centerforce. The heads and exhaust are still stock, stock compression ratio. The parts are about $1200.00, with install at about $500.00. If you decide to do heads and cams, along with the internals, Fox Lake makes some great packages. Stage I through III, ranging from $1400.00 to $2400.00. But power increases like crazy. Ad headers and a 2.5 inch exhaust, and a friend of mine in New Jersey is at 518 rwhp at 12 pounds of boost with the same supercharger.

ANy suggestions for forged connectors and rods? I already have forged pistons and explorer heads and cam, but I want to forge everything else before I boost it. Probably late next year....

You dont need to put in a forged crank to run boost. Just add a main girdle and ARP bolts and you'll be ready to boost.

from what i understand from Muscle mustangs and fast fords the the h beams are the weak point in the rotating assembly on the moddular motors. But do the entire works anyways while you got the engine torn apart.

i dont know if youre still in the market, but if so. id say spend the little bit of extra money and buy a mmr 900!!! its their 900 hp short block!!! that thing will rock your world. its the one i buought. its still not in the car quite yet. but, after visiting mmrs website and their shop id go with no one else!!! dude their shop is like a gear heads paradise. motors everywhere. and of cours they're built by hand. but the differance is that mmr doesnt send all their stuff out to be machined they do it in ther own shop. they really do everything themselves, and the end result is one bad ass motor ready for some sick ass power!!! then go with a nice blower. i wouldnt recomend a small entry level blower to bolt up to a motor like that. it just cries for more power!! put like a d1 or even a f1 on her and just pull every bit of power you want out of her!!!! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
