We all know what Craigslist is, if you don't you're living in a missile silo in the AZ desert. And I've read many threads here posted by people who have found incredible deals on Mustang parts and Mustang related items.

Personally, I bought my Cobra rims, my Shelby hood, my Saleen rear louvers and my gauge pod from Craigslist ads, not to mention a Mustang wristwatch.

What kind of Mustang goodies have you found on Craigslist, or a garage sale, swap meet, ebay or some other similar place that isn't a retail store?

Apparently I'm not the only person here that scours the "auto parts" section of Craigslist hourly.

I have found a few items there but my best friends when I had my fox was a junk yard out of goergia called pretigue. Both my stangs are posted on there site. I bought a set of eibach springs, two ten hole wheels, M/T drag radials, and many other doo dads from them

Just this morning I picked up a pair of aftermarket tail lights for my Lightning. They are clear, very much like the original Lightning tails. New, in the box, never used, still wrapped in cellophane. $50

I do a lot of graphic arts stuff, photoshopping, websites, business cards, award certificates, renderings, etc. I found a cheesy drawing on the internet one day of an 05+ and I modified the heck out of it to make the CAR-toon. Here's larger version of it. I also have it in tiff format at 2500 pixels wide. I have to redo it since I put on Cobra wheels and took off the chrome Bullitts.

This is the drawing I started from. If you compare them, you'll see what had to be done. Front air dam reshaped, wheels replaced, spoiler, moved the fogs, added lower fogs, all kinds of work went into it to get it where it is now. And every time I mod the real car, I have to mod the artwork! Ugh!

So, now you are all scrolling up and down to compare, right?

I've been looking for something like this for two years. I know what you mean about re-modding the drawing, too. I have a new sig banner for WS with all my newest mods, but I can't find the damn thing... LOL. I may take a crack at your drawing if that's ok with you.

Me too... I'm a web designer for a living, but I do tons of print work as well. Camera-ready artwork, graphic design, you name it. Nice work, GT...:)

You mean Craigslist?

It's like anything else. Be careful about giving out your info, home address, etc. I only give out my cell numbers and usually meet these people in broad daylight in a public place.

Yesterday I bought a Nextar GPS for the car. $100. Gee, I wonder if it's HOT?
