Budget car transporters

If you didn't know, my station wagon wasn't bought fro me to drive around in, it was for my aunt to own. Since we finally have the little shot running right, my family is now talking about getting it up to her. One idea is my dad and I driving it up to her, the only downside is that would take a lot of money, and it would feel like a long ass ride in that car(its a 90's econo-box, not a great cruiser)

One thought that popped into my head was a car transporter service, anyone have any tips? Budget is a key word here, this isn't a fancy car in the least. anyone know of any? lets say the car has to go from San Diego CA, to Portland, Oregon.

there is also a program on the net called u-ship. look it up. when drivers have a little extra room on their trucks they offer to take yours. they make bids to your account and you can accept or decline. they wanted 900 to get mine from here to NC. little more spendy, but somethign to look at
