cam instal

just wondering how hard it is to instal a new cam in my 5.0. a guy on CL is selling a comp cams magnum cam. 280/280 and .512/.512. will this work on mycar with my current set up? will it work with my current rockers (1.72)

shit...nevermind. called comp cams and got all the info from them. this particular cam wont work on EFI engines....oh well...good deal $35 for cam an lifters...too bad

should work but i would worry alittle bit on valve to piston clearance... It would probably be to much lift! I'm telling you buy a upper and lower intake, a cam wont do much if the engine cant breathe

thats a lot of money that i dont have right now....payint off the credit card and the new interior.....lol. but for 35 dollars i was interested...

i like the bbk too, but i cant afford it....the typhoon is supposed to be as good as the victor jr. but i dont know anything about it

A cam swap isn't the easiest job to do. You need to pull the front half of the engine apart back to the timing chain, pull the valve covers and intake manifold to pull the lifters up while removing the cam and then re-assemble.

With the smog laws you can get a smog legal e303 cam. The nice thing about roller cams is that you don't need to change your roller lifters.
