4th Annual Patriotic Rally - Overview
The Armed Service Committee of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce its 4th Annual Patriotic Rally: Car Show & BBQ for Camp Pendleton’s School of Infantry (SOI) students on Sunday, September 14, 2008. You may be unaware of SOI, a training division at Camp Pendleton, where young men in the United State Marine Corps come to learn the advance infantry skills. Due to their intense 9-week training schedule, these young Marines are not permitted to leave the base. Ninety percent of these young Marines will go to Iraq once they finish training at SOI. The Carlsbad Chamber and its Armed Services Committee wanted to show their appreciation for what these young Marines are doing, and decided to say “thank you” by giving them a celebration with classic cars, civilian food, entertainment, and lots of gifts.
If you would like to register your classic car there is a required registration form, and a $25 tax deductible registration fee. This fee will help offset the costs of t-shirts and trophies for the event.
