Cams/ Install

Has any done any install on cams yet? I know that DevilsSpawn did a while back and got great improvements from stock and he was running a Auto car. I want to go with something Nasty with alot of lope... I want to start my car and rattle the neighbors windows lol

No for real though. I want to run same set up as Windveil is looking into.. I just want some advice where to get work done or does anyone have the knowledge to help me do the install. I will be doing them after cruise. I would do them after tax season but unfortunatly I will be gone in mid Jan.

No they are saying thanksgiving but I may have to wait till first. I dont know if Ford will release it to me till bill is paid in full. THANKS

Steve told me TJ spent 3 grand on those cams! thats valve springs, cam and LABOR!!!








Phil just buy a bottle! 125 will last a while! keep doing compression checks, when it start getting low sell it LOL!

I wish I knew someone I could trust to do install. The install is not problem though its tunning the damn thing. I think with cams and headwork though it would be well worth it in long run. Half the money of a super charger as well. I could always add one later on down road. I want to do the upper half first. I want to be able to beat those S/C cars on all moter with a little bit of juice if I need it lol
TJ got mostly one of a kinda parts though as well. I think that is why his install took so long. Think of it this way though. You yourself said it made his car come alive

yea but a bottle would have helped alot more then just those cams.. but yea with cams and spray, its going to take one hell of a car to beat you! I might have to make a trip to San Diego..........LOL! j/k

have you done headers yet, you still should be able to free up some more power right there.... what about a off road mid pipe?

Going to go with long tubes. I think I am going to Have JBA do them. Jim (windviel) said it was pain in ass for shortys I can just imagine for long tubes Andy how much of a shot would you recomend with Nos. I want it to kick in through 3rd gear. That will work good for the 8th mile and quarter. $th too if I am on 1/4 mile track

No really a properly tuned 125 shot on your car will last for years..... i was talking to a guy that was running a 150 shot on his stock 5.0 at 100,000 miles at 140,000 miles he took it off and ran 10 lbs of boost S/C, at 170,000 now with no loss of compresion and is working on a turbo build! ITS ALL IN THE TUNE!

the reason nitrous works so well is your not running around town making boost every time you drive a way from a light or pass on the freeway! its only there when you want it.. makes the car last so much longer!


Phil yes i wouldnt go anymore then a 125 shot..but when your makes 300+ to the wheels already thats an easy 425 or 450 to the wheels only when you need it! and plus you can PURGE! LOL
