I wasnt messin with it, i just turned down the timming on the street then i turned it up on last run and cut 2/10ths off and my 60's were off by tenth, track prep isnt what barona is
Maybe your low on VTECH fluid.........

My 98 is wounded and not working well, but that hasn't stopped me. Sure you guys give me crap for my slower times, but I still go and have fun.
If I had to wait until my car was perfect (like a certain orange car not going to Fontana), I would never race. Some family emergency always taking my car money.
Actually have the exact same problems as 02 GT. My bottom end is going and the power is down. Plus my tranny is shot and can't shift above 5500rpm.
Anytime someone says they are retiring their car until they "possibly" get something new on it, means you won't see that at the track for a LONG time.
For me, I don't care about being the fastest. I go because it is great company with you guys and I get to beat the hell out of something. So as long as no oil pours from a rod hole in my block and I can still get it to shift at a reasonably high rpm, I am racing!:lol:

Is it the tranny?? The tranny is your car is one of the best, whats wrong with it?
:lol: Are you serious? It had nothing to do with anything being wrong with my car. It had to do with a wife that goes to school on Saturdays from 8am to noon. My kids are 2 and 5, so I can't exactly say "you kids behave I'll be back in 9hrs!" :lol:
My Mother-in-law said that she will watch the kids this week, but it likely won't matter because of the you know what!

Most likely is the torque converter. Don't think its the tranny, it shifts good. But I'm going to have it check just to be safe.
