car worth?

1994 gt body is in ok shape paint still looks good when washed and waxed, dent on drivers door down low. Back bumper has scratches.
Inside is pretty clean leather seats front and back.

Car has maybe 500 miles on car since rebuilt engine and all work done .
I have well over $5k in the engine build and $1300 in the tune.
I have not changed the oil yet from build this is how little the car has been drivin and main reason for the sale.

ported gt 40 heads
ford racing lifters, push rods, roller rockers
ported cobra intake
TB
CAI
forged pistons 10:1 comp
b303 cam
arp studs mains etc
arp rod bolts
crank, block, rods remachined
tri metal bearing
new oil pump
road race oil pan
shorty headers
2 1/2 full exhaust / magna flows
ron davis radiator

nicer balancer
new timing cover
new water pump

all new hoses/belts

Engine dyno ed at 320 rwhp on 91 octane.
Passes smog with the hi flow catts installed now sale will include original catts hi flows and off road x pipe

Transmission is t-5 shifts like new. I installed new king cobra clutch and replaced all bearings and fork with oem ford parts, cable is quick adjust, has short throw shifter.

cobra aluminum drive shaft

rear end was rebuilt by San Diego Axle new axles were installed , clutches and 4:10 gears,

has cobra brakes with new pads and fresh rotors ss brake lines also.

MM bilstien coil over package installed on all 4 corners with CC plates, sub frame connectors, lower control arms, pan hard bar and torque arm.

03 cobra front control arms

I did scale and balance the car at one point it weights 3237lbs

Wheels are 98 cobra wheels they are white (car looks like that saleen in 98 with the white wheels)
wheels are 17"x9 front and 17"x10 1/2 rear 275 dot approved road race slicks on all wheels.

nitrous kit is installed also tank is full also included in the sale is a tank warmer (never installed)
I installed and sprayed it 2 times before rebuilding the engine. Never have sprayed on rebuilt engine.

There is well over $14k in this car plus hours and hours of my time.
The car runs and drives good.
The only thing wrong with the car is the drivers side window motor needs to be replaced or fixed it works but needs a little help to go up and down.

I have replaced or rebuilt everything on this car (just replaced steering rack last week) master cylinder is the last thing still not rebuild. A/c is still in car but does not blow cold , ford a/c units suck the pumps are junk I replaced 1 in my 03 cobra this year 17k miles on it and one 2 years ago in my 98 cobra. Never wanted to spend the money on it but was not sure I wanted to rip it out either.

I have never raced or open tracked the car. My plans where to have it as a track car at some point but now I need the $$ and space for my race car. Some one needs to take this car to the next level or enjoy it they way it is.

It would take a lot of time and money to get to a car of this level tuned, and ready to drive.

smog and clear title in hand and just paid reg for another year.

What do you think its worth and is anyone in the market for a car like this?

few hundred LOL what are you smoking There is a fresh 302 that put 320rwhp paid well over $5k for build and $2500 of MM suspension parts this is not a stock mustang that mom drove with 175k miles on it. Did you read what has been done to the car?

I'd seen this car on craigslist before. It is totally worth the $6k you are asking for it in the current ad.
If anything that's too low. This is exactly what I was looking for a while back, but I'm not able to get it right now (cash flow problem).
Good luck with the sale.

The car is worth what someone will pay. You may get a wide variety of opinions and you may think the money you sunk into the car = value, but it's not the case. If you need to sell the car, you'll get what someone offers...if not, enjoy your car.

I have road coursed my car(s) and it is a blast instead of making room for a race car, you already have a pretty good set up, take it to willow springs and see what it can do I bet it will change your mind! Also you can put it in the SCCA autocross sessions and trust me it's a rush!

Limp,

CWO is absolutely correct on this. I wondered the same thing when I saw your build(nice build by the way). One usually only puts that amount of money over the worth of the vehicle with intentions to keep and are prepared for a hefty loss if deciding to sell down the road. I know this because I did the same thing about 5 years ago, but I did it knowing I was sinking xx,xxx.xx into a 2,000 dollar car that I loved and was planning on restoring back to how it was when I bought it and was keeping it and I do still have it to this day(20 years now i've had it). Now if I sold it no matter what I put in it I am not expecting to get any where near what I put in that is one reason why I won't sell. The other is because I survived a really weird accident in it so I believe in that car.....funny me. I wish you the best with your sale, but keep an open mind and see where others are coming from. If they buy it today and from some act of God or man wreck tomorrow what will an insurance company give them for the money they put out on your car??? returns on investment. Will it be in the neighborhood of what they spent yesterday and can they live with it if it isn't? Personally I say it is your passion hold on to it and get your money's worth out of it.
